Dog Vomiting and being Sick

I have recently adopted a 2yr old lab and she has a cough that makes her vomit, what could be the cause she vomits small pools of what looks like spit.

Hi Kerry, if you are worried at all I would take your dog to the vet as I am not a trained Vet and only work with obedience training. However, there is advice on my website that may help a little.
