How to train my 3 year old male German Shepherd, who is afraid of everything, barks and doesn't come when called. He has never has been abused, and if anything he's been babied too much.


Hi Jenelle, wow this is difficult as you are asking for a complete guide to dog obedience training. If you have a specific issue then it would make things a bit easier LOL. Anyway, take a look at our section on 'Dog Training Tips' where we have covered 'training your dog to come'. I would start with the very basics - i.e. the sit, fetch and come command which you can find under the same section.

If you are concerned with the barking why not try socializing your dog with all the things that are making him bark - try and get to the route of each problem and tackle it individually.
