Lets face it if we can teach you how to stop your neighbors dog barking, we can certainly teach your own pooch how to stop all the noise!

We don't believe dogs and puppies are born aggressive it is simply up to you to train your pooch what is wrong and what is right....and remember that a bored pet can cause all kinds of problems ... so lets get going...
Although it is quite normal for dogs and puppies to bark, it can become quite annoying if it happening all the time, dogs bark just like people speak.

Although some dogs have specific behavior patterns that make them more likely to bark and guard, like the German Shepherd, a bored dog that has little stimulation is more likely to bark.

Here are some general rules to consider to stop your dog from barking through boredom.
  • Firstly check that there is no medical problem with your pooch.
  • Keep your dog stimulated - with lots of exercise and plenty of toys.
  • Keep your dog away from any windows where he can see people or other dogs passing by.
  • Reward good behavior.
  • Start socializing your dog or puppy early.
  • Distract your dog when he barks.
  • Reward your dog when he is quiet and ignore him when he barks.

  • If you get home from work to see your dog pacing the floor, howling, chewing the furniture, he is more than likely suffering from dog separation anxiety and boredom.
  • Dog howling, just like wolves and their cubs who howl for their mum, if your dog is howling he is doing it because he is trying to get your attention.
  • Destruction - Dogs love chewing, and destroying wallpaper, rugs, carpets etc when they are under-exercised and insecure.
  • Dogs digging holes? - this is another sign of a dog who is bored- redirect his attention by a sand pit.
Start by leaving your dog in a room for a few minutes and if your dog is not barking, chewing, digging at the door, or pacing the floor - reward him with a treat and lots of praise.
