Stop Puppy Biting - How do I get my puppy to stop biting me?

My puppy won't stop biting me, I have bought her many toys but her favorite toy seems to be my hands. I can't get her to stop, and she's getting bigger.....please help!

Hi and thanks for the question - this is one of the most common problems and I have provided a link below that covers how to stop a puppy from biting. I can understand your concern as a puppy that bites will soon become a dog that bites so it is very important that is prevented as soon as it starts. As we have covered it mostly in the link below I will not go over it again but just to explain the importance of plenty of exercise, stimulation and of course socialization. Another useful technique and one that is actually used by other siblings when the puppy is still in the litter is to make a noise that the biting really hurts. When a puppy is in the litter and gets bitten he or she will make a loud yelp and this is what tells the other puppies how hard to bite and what is painful. Next time your puppy bites you make a really loud yelp and remove your hand as if in pain. Another useful tip is redirection - by diverting your puppy's attention your puppy will stop the biting - using a toy is a great way to achieve this.
