How interesting. I'm experiencing similar issues with my four month old german shephard/great pyrenees mix little boy puppy. He is as cute as can be and it is almost as if he knows it. I am guilty because we live alone and I allow him to come on the couch, sit on my lap, lay his head in my lap, etc, etc. Now, at four months old he wants to play all the time. He jumps up on me and will jump up on anyone that he can get to. It's kind of embarrasing that he will not listen when others are around. He too will just roll over and expect a belly rub or just a rub on the head.
We started obedience classes and I'm hoping that with his growing older and the classes, he will mature and the friendliness will perhaps go away.
I would like very much for him to learn to protect our home and me but I can't help but feel that he will be kind of sorry. He doesn't even bark when someone comes to the door.
